The name, “Helsan” was chosen back in 1991, when Dean Gunderson and a partner purchased 40 acres of land in the Town of Polk to eventually develop into an industrial park. The name came from a combination of the two partners wives' names: Helen and Sandy. Helsan Inc. was established to develop the land into Helsan Business Park, a 13 lot commercial / industrial business park. In 1994, Dean Gunderson bought out his partner to gain exclusive ownership in the Business Park.
Eight years later, in 1997, Helsan Development Co., LLC was formed in place of Helsan Inc. to completely take over the development, management and marketing of the Business Park and all future development ventures. We, at Helsan, manage over 300,000 square feet of Lease Space in Southeastern Wisconsin along with own over 175 acres of retail, commercial and industrial land.
More recently, in 2005, Dean Gunderson established Endeavor Investments LLC and purchased 100 acres in the Town of Richfield. This land was soon developed into Endeavor Business Park and just one year later Endeavor purchased an additional 40 acres to expand the Park to the South. The Business Park is just ½ mile from Helsan Business Park and consists of Retail, Commercial and Industrial lots. Helsan Development oversaw the development of the Park and is now completely managing and marketing the Park. The first building in the Park is the new home of Wurth Adams, an international distributor of nuts and bolts.
